In Taiwan, "Ma Dao Cheng Gong" is a popular Mandarin idiom, expressing good wishes to friends: "Be accomplished or successful quickly and easily"! The "Ma" in Mandarin is equivalent to the "Horse" in English.

In Taiwan, to show good wishes to friends when the Lunar New Year of "Horse" comes, you may say: "Ma Nian Sing Da Yun", whose literal meaning is: "Be enjoying good luck and fortune in the Year of Horse"! ("Ma" = "Horse" ; "Sing Da Yun" = "good luck and fortune"!)
